Latest piezoceramic sound components feature in new catalogue Multi-voltage piezoceramic reversing alarm 60Vpp piezoceramic audio amp with 5V to 25V input
Piezoceramic sound components combine durability with a light-weight construction and high output which often out-performs speakers, amplifiers, buzzers and alarms based on conventional technologies. The new Sonitron catalogue includes state-of-the-art sound components based on proven technology which offers major benefits for applications in the consumer, automotive, military and many other applications.
The SAP-1302-C reversing alarm can be used with 12Vdc, 24Vdc and 48Vdc inputs and features a very low, 40mA average current consumption and light-weight construction. Compared to conventional alarms, which operate at around 350mA, the SAP-1302-C achieves an 875% reduction in current consumption as well as a weight of just 210g. Operating at 1250Hz, the SAP-1302-C achieves a sound pressure level (SPL) of 97dBA at 1.2 meters, which meets the output required by Type C alarms used in heavy plant and other high-noise environments. The alarm uses patented piezoceramic technology, which has been proven in life-critical applications, and is sealed to IP67.
The PAA-StepUpBTL-01 piezoceramic audio amplifier uses a stable 30V dc input, derived from a voltage range of 5V to 25V, to achieve a maximum output voltage swing of 60V peak-to-peak. This delivers significantly higher volume, compared to previous piezoceramic amplifiers. This Class AB amplifier features an average current consumption of 40mA to 400mA and a 40x35mm footprint, to combine the efficient use of both energy and board space.
