Job Title: Sales Office Manager
Location: Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys
Department: Sales
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview
The Internal Sales Representative will play a key role in supporting customers and driving sales growth within Charcroft’s distribution business.
Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, you will work closely with the external Business Development team, suppliers, and customers to prepare quotations, process orders, and provide exceptional customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proactive attitude and strong communication skills who enjoys building relationships and working in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support
• Act as a key point of contact for customers via phone and email.
• Prepare accurate quotations and follow up proactively to convert opportunities into orders.
• Process customer purchase orders efficiently and accurately.
• Provide product information, lead times, and pricing to customers in line with company policies.
• Work closely with the Business Development Managers (BDMs) to support customer accounts and new business opportunities.
• Maintain and update customer information and communications within the CRM and ERP systems.
Supplier Liaison
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical data for quotations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely and competitive responses.
• Support purchasing with order tracking or queries as required.
Sales Administration
• Ensure all quotations, orders, and communications are accurately recorded.
• Monitor and follow up on open quotes and opportunities.
• Support sales reporting, pipeline tracking, and performance metrics as requested by the Sales Office Manager.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
• Experience in an internal sales, customer service, or commercial role (preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or engineering).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills including Excel, Outlook, and ERP or CRM systems.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple customer accounts.
Desirable:
• Understanding of components, part numbers, and basic technical terminology (training provided).

Location: Remote with regular travel to customer sites across the UK

Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across the UK. You will act as the face of Charcroft to new and prospective customers, promoting our product range, technical services, and long-standing reputation for reliability and quality.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a solid background in B2B technical sales and an understanding of electronic components or the supply chain needs of high-reliability sectors.
Key Responsibilities
• New Business Acquisition: Identify and develop new customer relationships, including OEMs, CEMs, and Tier 1 contractors.
• Market Expansion: Research and target new market sectors or applications for Charcroft’s distribution and manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead Generation: Proactively generate and qualify leads through cold outreach, networking, and attendance at industry events.
• Customer Engagement: Arrange and attend customer visits, product presentations, and technical discussions.
• Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain and update internal systems to track progress, manage opportunities, and forecast accurately.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, internal sales, and engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Reporting: Provide regular activity updates, KPIs, and sales reports to the senior management team.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
• Proven success in B2B business development or technical sales (preferably electronics or high-reliability industries).
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage a regional sales territory.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate and close complex deals.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including visits to Llanwrtyd Wells HQ.
Essential:
• Knowledge of passive, power, or electromechanical components.
• Experience selling into defence, aerospace, rail or industrial sectors.
• Background in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
