Micro-Measurements

Micro-Measurements is dedicated to the development, manufacture, and marketing of sensors for high-precision strain measurement. We offer a full selection of sensors, strain gages, PhotoStress® equipment and coatings, data acquisition systems (DAQ), and accessories necessary for obtaining accurate, reliable stress data. Our state-of-the-art strain gages and accessories are used to test the safety of structures, ensure accuracy of critical medical equipment, and test aircraft wing fatigue. We are proud to see our strain gages used in these and other applications throughout the world.

Micro-Measurements’ stress analysis products — including strain gages and installation materials, Photostress® equipment and coatings, and instrumentation and data acquisition systems — meet rigorous industry standards and perform flawlessly on any conceivable material and in versatile conditions, from controlled laboratories to the unpredictable outdoors.

Micro-Measurements was founded in the early 1960’s. A few years after its founding, both Micro-Measurements and its sister division, Photolastics, became part of Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. In July 2010, Vishay Intertechnology spun off its precision measurement and foil technology businesses, which became Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG).

Located near Raleigh, North Carolina, a hub of Research and Development, Micro-Measurements offers a full complement of the sensors, instrumentation, and installation accessories necessary to obtain accurate, reliable strain and stress data. Our strain gages and accessories also fulfill manufacturers' requirements for a wide variety of transducers for measuring physical variables (weight, force, torque, pressure).
