Exxelia Sic-Safco

Sic Safco has over 80 years experience as a designer and manufacturer of electrolytic aluminium capacitors, established to address energy transfer needs. SIC (Société Industrielle de Condensateurs) was incorporated in 1921 before merging with SAFCO (Société Anonyme de Fabrication de Condensateurs) in 1954. Sic Safco became Exxelia Sic Safco in 2015.

Exxelia Sic Safco produces screw terminal, non-cylindrical radial solder, cylindrical radial, radial solder, and axial capacitors. These high technology aluminium electrolytic capacitors are especially designed for heavy industries requiring large-scale energy transfers, Hi-Rel, & Harsh Environments included.

SNAPSIC HC, ultra-long life time for SNAP-IN aluminium electrolytic capacitor

The Snapsic HC series stands out by its exceptional performances offering the longest lifetime on the market operating at 85°C for 8000 hours. Very versatile, it can cover all needs of energy storage in medium voltage applications such as UPS industrial converters or railway embedded HVAC. Thanks to its high ripple current, it can be used in SMPS and HVAC rolling stocks units, for instance with 400V 1000µF in a volume of Ø 35x50mm it can reach 20,8µF/cm3 and 35,3µF at 250V. Available in smaller packages dedicated to various signalling control units, it performs 1 700µF @250V into a volume of Ø35 x 50mm.

Alsic20G-Series

Alsic 20G is a range of radial leaded aluminium electrolytic capacitors for typical use in military and aerospace high frequency switch-mode power supplies requiring advanced performance under all operating conditions. Alsic 20G operational rated life is 8,000 hours at rated voltage and 105°C, and provides from 330µF @ 500V to 80 000μF @16V. The range features ruggedized design with insulating aluminium case and tin coated leads. With capacitance stability at high temperature, low inductance and impedance, competitive ESR and high ripple current, these capacitors are perfectly adapted for mission-critical applications.
